CONGRATULATIONS! 

Regional Alliance of Young Women is pleased to announce the start of the project "Equality on - Violence off! - Fighting gender inequality to beat violence against young women" funded by European Youth Foundation and Alert Fund for Youth. Regional Alliance of Young Women welcomes applications from all candidates who fulfill the specific profile of the activities, irrespective of gender, disability, marital or parental status, racial, ethnic or social origin, color, religion, belief or sexual orientation.


Call for participants for "I Know Gender" training course 

Selection Criteria: 

We are looking for 25 exceptional young people and we have formulated some selection criteria which are: 
- Participants must be aged between 18 and 30 at the time of application; 
- Participants are responsible for their own health and travel insurance; 
- Must be active during the course and take a commitment to act as multiplier after the course; 


The following parameters will be taken into account while selection: 

– technical (including information technology tools) or skill level; 
– commitment of the applicant; 
– languages skill level; 
– background and experience; 
– whether the participant understands the objectives; 
– whether s/he will be in a position to apply the knowledge and skills gained; 
– whether s/he understands and agrees to comply to post-training measures; 

Materials: 
We will make available all necessary equipment to assure a successful training. This will include transportation for team and participants; equipment including slide projectors, photocopying and scan services and others as determined necessary. Participants and team will have access to the materials required to satisfactorily undertake their assignments. These will include such items as pads, pencils, slide film, overhead projection laminates, photocopying and scan services, binders and paper for documents, and others. 

Meals: 
For the duration of the training, arrangements will be made for participants to take their lunch as a group. Given the intensive nature of the training, morning and afternoon breaks with refreshments will be offered.

"HANDS OFF MY DESIGN"  ART COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT 

Youth Art Competition Announcement 

Drawing, Paintings and all other forms of art 

Under the theme of “Hands off my design” 

To tackle to promote creativity and motivating people to fight for a more equal society for women and free of violence

Background

"Hands off my design" art competition aims to promote creativity and motivating people to fight for a more equal society for women. This is an opportunity to use art to think about the human rights violation that young women experience systematically. Through the art we would like to raise awareness of women equality, and their rights. Through art, we want to remind the society of the most deprived women who are forgotten and left behind and ensure that every last woman receive the opportunity to enjoy basic rights.

The competition will be conducted within the scope of the project " Equality on - Violence off! - Fighting gender inequality to beat violence against young women" implemented by Regional Alliance of Young Women and supported by European Youth Foundation of Council of Europe and Alert Fund for Youth.

Objective:

· To promote creativity and motivating people to fight for a more equal society for women.


Applicant criteria

Any individual wishing to participate in teams of up to 3 people to submit one photo, painting, drawing or any form of art work related to the theme, “Hands off my design”. Applicants do not have to be affiliated with any schools, clubs, and/or associations.


Scope of art work

Photographs submitted will be related to any of the manifestations of violence (physical, psychological, sexual, economic, symbolic, etc), myths and misconceptions that contribute to maintaining the cycle of violence against young women, and resources to overcome it. However, these photographic projects will appeal to change and prevention of such acts of violence rather than help perpetuate them.

Selection Process

The Save the Children Photo Competition Committee will first select the notable artworks that best fits the criteria. From these, the committee will select the 12 top submissions, with special recognition for the first prize winner and 11 second-place entry awards.

Award

- 2020 Calendar designed from best 12 competition projects indicating 365 women death to break the silence and bear witness to the high incidence of VAW.

Gender zorakılığı ilə bağlı yeni layihə həyata keçirilir

Gənc Qadınların Regional Alyansı ictimai birliyi Avropa Şurası Gənclər Fondunun dəstəyi ilə "Qadınlara qarşı zorakılığa son qoymaq üçün gender bərabərsizliyi ilə mübarizə" adlı həyata keçirmişdir. 

Təşkilatdan verilən məlumata əsasən bununla bağlı layihənin açılış mərasimi baş tutub.

Tədbiri giriş sözü ilə açan layihənin koordinatoru çıxışında bildirib ki, layihə bu gün dünyanın ən mühüm problemlərindən biri olan qadınlara qarşı zorakılığın aradan qaldırılmasına yönəldilib və bu istiqamətdə bir sıra silsilə tədbirlərin keçirilməsi planlaşdırılıb.
